Pip Wright. Pip was only 11 years old when her love affair with Pilates started. As a full-time ballerina Pilates supported her body and was a life-saver for injury prevention.
Pilates instruction became a natural career progression for her. As a former classical dancer, Pilates has enabled her love of movement, symmetry, posture and alignment to continue. Philippa has been using the Pilates method to enhance the lives of many individuals for well over 20 years. She has worked with clients aged 3 to 93 and is yet to meet two bodies that function exactly the same way. Pip remains fascinated by the human body and how it operates. This inspires her to constantly expand her knowledge, adding to the classical Pilates repertoire with new dynamic and contemporary techniques. Philippa is extremely well respected in her field and enjoys the support of physiotherapists, physicians and surgeons. Philippa is passionate about educating people on the benefits of the Pilates method and recommends it as the ideal movement and physique management option. (Pip credits the Pilates method for holding her body together, after carrying three 9 ½ lb babies caused her to have a severe rectus diastasis. To date, her greatest achievements are keeping her 3 children alive!) Pip currently teaches 9:30am on Monday, 8:30am + 9:30am on Wednesday and Thursdays at 4:00pm. |
