Yulia Khasyanova.BPhty (University of Otago 2019) | APA Member | Speaks English, Russian & French
Member of Australian Physiotherapy Association Musculoskeletal and Dry Needling Groups Yulia conducts consultations in English, Russian and French. Coming from a background in IT, Yulia completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in New Zealand before moving to Melbourne and then Brisbane, where she now calls home. She grew up in Russia and worked for six years in IT and Telecommunications before switching careers to healthcare, inspired by her grandmother who was a cardiologist. Drawing on a first degree in linguistics and her IT background, she brings an exceptional ability to think in systems — and finds the human body the most fascinating system of all. As a physiotherapist she is a meticulous practitioner with a drive to find the source of every problem and make a positive, lasting change in each patient's life. She treats not only the injured body part but the whole person attached to it. She holds multiple certifications through the Ehlers-Danlos Society and is one of a small number of physiotherapists in Brisbane with specialist training in hypermobility spectrum disorders and associated conditions. Her special interest areas include:
In her spare time Yulia enjoys good food and wine, salsa dancing, and time in nature whether that's at the beach or in the forest. She has a particular love for working with injuries from ballet, swimming, mountain biking, roller-skating and snowboarding — sports she knows well from the inside. She welcomed her first child in 2025. Yulia currently treats on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Training and Professional Development
