Includes a free physiotherapist assessment and Axit strength test before the course commences (valued at $50). We are able to provide an invoice for Private Health claiming under code 596. We encourage you to check in with your fund before booking to make sure you are covered. Maximum 5 mums per class Casual spaces currently available at Coorparoo on Thursday mornings 10:30am Our Tarragindi Postnatal Pilates | Mums & Bubs Reformer Pilates blocks are a fantastic way to get back into movement post birth! We recommend waiting until you have been given the all clear from your medical team before commencing exercise (minimum 6 weeks postpartum) and if they raise any concerns we do require a physio consultation before starting.
We encourage you to bring bub along to these classes - our studio is pram friendly, and we have a lovely reception space out the back perfect for feeding. With a maximum of 5 per class this is a great way to make new parent friends, while still making sure you get the expert attention that you need during this period. With a focus on precision, Pilates helps to increase body awareness and strength, improve posture and range of motion as well as increasing overall fitness. In each 6 week block we'll work on: Pelvic floor rehab Rebuilding abdominal strength (including in cases of diastasis recti) Improving posture and movement patterns Increasing overall strength, fitness and endurance post-partum All mats and props are included. We are proud to be one of the only physiotherapy clinics on Brisbane's southside offering clinical postnatal Pilates classes, as well as women's health physiotherapy and postnatal physiotherapy. Cancellations Whilst we understand that life happens (especially with little ones) unfortunately due to small class sizes and covid regulations we are generally only able to provide one make up in another postnatal intake. Additional missed classes can be credited towards our general Pilates classes (not postnatal specific and must be attended without bub) for use in the following 12 months
